Alongside my own running journey, I’m qualified, insured and experienced in supporting runners safely and sustainably — without pressure, judgement or ego.

My coaching approach prioritises wellbeing, confidence and long term progress, always meeting you where you are.

Coaching qualifications

  • England Athletics Event Group Endurance Coach

  • England Athletics Coach in Running Fitness

  • First Aid trained

  • DBS checked

Community involvement and practical experience

Alongside formal qualifications, my coaching is shaped by many years of hands-on involvement in the running community and real-world experience supporting runners at all stages.

  • Chair of a local running club, supporting runners of all abilities

  • Led and organised Couch to 5K programmes at Squirrels Running Group for the past five years, supporting over 200 people from couch to their first 5k.

  • Led group interval training sessions, supporting runners to build confidence, fitness, running technique and pacing skills

  • Member of a parkrun core team and regular Run Director, helping deliver safe and welcoming events

  • Official pacer at 5k, 10k and half marathon events, supporting runners to achieve realistic well paced goals

  • Running regularly since 2016, with experience across marathons and ultra-distance events

  • Ongoing interest in training methods, endurance development and the psychology of exercise

  • Written training plans for runners progressing from 5k through to ultra-distance events

Insurance

I hold appropriate public liability insurance for running coaching activities (details available upon request).

Health and participation disclaimer

Running and physical activity involve an element of risk.

By taking part in coaching, you confirm that you are medically fit to do so, or that you have sought appropriate medical advice before beginning.

You agree to let me know about any relevant medical conditions, injuries or concerns that may affect your participation, so that sessions and plans can be adapted safely and appropriately.

Coaching is offered as guidance and support, and participation is always at your own pace and discretion.

Terms and Conditions

Coaching sessions must be booked in advance

  • Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice

  • Missed sessions or late cancellations may not be refundable

  • Coaching plans and materials are for personal use only

  • I reserve the right to pause or stop coaching if continuing would not be safe or appropriate
